Ghost Sound

  • casting time 1 stand. action
  • range close (25 + 5ft/2lvl)

  • components V, S, M
  • duration 1 round/lvl (D)

Saving throw: Will disbelief, Resist: no

Ghost sound allows you to create a volume of sound that rises, recedes, approaches, or remains at a fixed place. Choose whattype of sound it creates when casting it and cannot change the sound’s basic character.
Volume of sound created depends on your lvl.
Produce as much noise as 4 normal humans/caster lvl (max. 40 humans). The noise a ghost
sound spell produces can be virtually any type of sound within the volume limit.
Eg. horde of rats running = volume as 8 humans running & shouting.
Roaring Lion = noise from 16 humans, roaring dragon = noise from 32 humans. Anyone who hears
receives a Will save to disbelieve.

Can enhance the effectiveness of a silent image spell.
Can be made permanent with a permanency spell.

Sleep

  • casting time 1 round
  • range medium (100 ft + 10 ft/lvl)

  • components V, S, M
  • duration 1 min/lvl

Saving throw: Will negates, Resist: yes, harmless

Advanced Player's Guide

Area: one or more living creatures within a 10ft radius burst

A sleep spell causes a magical slumber to come upon 4 HD of creatures. Creatures with the fewest HD are affected first. Among creatures with equal HD, those who are closest to the spell’s point of origin are affected first. HD that are not sufficient to affect a creature are wasted. Sleeping creatures are helpless. Slapping or wounding awakens an affected creature, but normal noise does not. Awakening a creature is a standard action (an application of the aid another action). Sleep does not target unconscious creatures, constructs, or undead creatures.

TLDR, +1 combat/weapon/saving throws (Fear & charm)

Bard can use his performance to inspire courage in his allies, bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to perceive the bard’s performance. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.
At 5 and every 6th lvl after, this bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 at 17th level.
Inspire courage is a mind-affecting ability.

  • components S, (no M)
  • duration up to 1 round/lvl

Saving throw: Will negates, harmless, Resist: yes, harmless

Advanced Player's Guide

Target: creature touched

You borrow one of the target’s known skills. After touching the subject, you can make a single check with the chosen skill using the subject’s skill ranks, but modified by your own key ability.

If you take longer than the spell’s duration to make the check or the check requires more time, then it fails and you must use your own skill ranks (if any). If the borrowed skill is a class skill for you, you gain the +3 bonus on checks using that skill.
