You can do a melee spell attack against a creature you can touch, or use a ranged attack against a creature within Throwing range, to hit the creature with the leaches. On a hit the leaches either deal 1d4 + your spellcasting ability modifier poison damage or heal the same amount.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the healing increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st.
