A giant mosquito is about one foot in diameter with delicate gossamer wings twice its length. Typically coloration is brown to black or possibly gray. It sports a nasty foot-long proboscis, and a pair of bulbous multifaceted eyes.

giant mosquito attaches to the target. While attached,
the giant mosquito does not attack. Instead, at the start
of the giant mosquito’s turn, the target loses 5 (1d4 +
3) hit points due to blood loss. A giant mosquito can
detach by expending 5 feet of its movement. A giant
mosquito automatically detaches after draining 10 hit
points and flies off to digest its blood meal. A creature,
including the target, can use its action to detach a giant
mosquito
