The griffons have been corrupted by the Shadowfell's influence, and make up the main aerial cavalry of Sundrasil's armies.
Shadow Blend: While in dim light or darkness, the shadow griffon can use a bonus action to turn invisible, along with anything it is wearing or carrying (including creatures). This invisibility lasts until the griffon ends it as a bonus action, is in bright light, incapacitated, or attacks.
Multiattack: The shadow griffon attacks once with its beak and once with its claws.
Beak: +7 hit, 1d8+5 piercing damage.
Claws: +7 hit, 2d6+5 slashing damage.
Keen Hearing and Smell.
Sunlight Weakness (affects ability checks and saving throws, too).
Bite: +5 hit, 2d6+3 piercing damage. DC 13 Str save or knocked prone.
A horrific ambush predator, this Shadowfell-corrupted roc serves as an enormous shock trooper for Sundrasil.
Shadow Blend: While in dim light or darkness, the shadow roc can use a bonus action to turn invisible, along with anything it is wearing or carrying (including creatures). This invisibility lasts until the roc enters bright light, is incapacitated, uses a bonus action to end it, or attacks.
Multiattack: The shadow roc makes one attack with its beak and one with its talons.
Beak: +13 hit, 10 ft. reach, 4d8+9 piercing damage.
Talons: +13 hit, 4d6+9 slashing damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 19). Until the grapple ends, the target is Restrained, and the roc can't use its talons on another target.
The last remnant of the illithids that built, maintained, and ruled the Silver City. This horrid creature is a neothelid, corrupted and enslaved by Sundrasil's shadow magic.
Detect Life (5 miles).
--Tentacles: +15 hit, 15 ft. reach, 3d8+10 bludheoning damage plus 3d8 necrotic damage. Large or smaller creatures must make a DC 20 Str save or be swallowed (10d6 necrotic damage at the start of the noctothelid's turns). 30+ damage on a single turn provokes a DC 18 Con save or the noctothelid regurgitates all swallowed creatures, which fall prone within 10 feet of the noctothelid.
Warped Wail (1/Day): Can't be used in sunlight, no effect on constructs or undead. All other creatures within 60 feet of the noctothelid must make a DC 18 Con save. Failed save, drop to 0 hit points. Successful save, take 10d6 psychic damage.
Innate Spellcasting (Wis-based, DC16).
